We invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual MEF Walk-a-Thon fundraiser! Participants in the “Better Health, Better Minds” event will be walking around the Merrillville High School complex on Saturday, October 6, 2018. We have sponsorship opportunities, too!
Round 32 grants for nine MCSC programs awarded
The grants for Round 32 were awarded in April of 2018. Nine grants totaling $6,484.38 were awarded to enhance learning experiences for Merrillville students.
2018 MEF Major Saver Campaign gets underway March 15!

Grant Spotlight – Robotics Club
The new Robotics Club expanded to two teams for competition in 2018. These students will be exposed to a CAD program donated to all first teams to develop their robot virtually before they start building one.
Grant Spotlight – The Mindfulness Project
The Mindfulness Project classroom will teach children how to build self-awareness, effectively handle their emotions, and empathetically manage their relationships.
Round 31 grants for 13 MCSC programs awarded
The grants for Round 31 were awarded in November of 2017. Thirteen grants totaling $8,597.82 were awarded to enhance learning experiences for Merrillville students.
MEF presents funds to MCSC School Board
At an October meeting of the Merrillville Community School Corporation School Board, officers of the Merrillville Education Foundation presented a ceremonial check in the amount of $22,787.20.
